As padel fans celebrate the New Year, eyes are already on the upcoming season, which promises to be explosive according to the calendar unveiled by Premier Padel.
Lebron / Galan top the FIP rankings
Although Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia were the most successful players in 2023, Juan Lebron and Ale Galan will start 2024 at the top of the FIP rankings, taking into account just three tournaments on the World Padel Tour 2023.
Intense battle in the Top 3
The coming season promises to be a battle between three main pairs: Lebron / Galan, Coello / Tapia, and Di Nenno / Stupaczuk. The Superpibes, despite having given Coello / Tapia a hard time, start in third place and will be out to prove their worth. The battle between these three pairs promises to be exciting, with a clear lead over the competition.

New duos and new challenges
Last year, Navarro and Chingotto emerged as the fourth pair, but will no longer play together in 2024. The Paquito / Sanyo and Gonzalez / Chingotto duos start in fourth and fifth positions respectively. Questions remain about the performance of Paquito and Sanyo, while Gonzalez / Chingotto may lack power against the best. The Ruiz / Tello pair, who didn’t shine in 2023, will be looking to assert themselves in 2024.
Young talents and veterans
Bela, at almost 45, enters his final season with Capra to return to the top. Bergamini and Ruiz, well-placed due to their recent successes, will have to keep an eye on the young duos Nieto / Sanz and Garrido / Yanguas, who could spring a surprise.
Top 10 men for the start of 2024
- Lebron / Galan – 22,400 points

Significant advance in the women’s Top 3
The women’s Top 3 are also well ahead of the rest of the pairs. The battle for fourth place will be between the new duos Araujo / Riera and Salazar / Icardo, with uncertainties over the Castello / Osoro and Jensen / Virseda duos.
Battle for eighth place and the return of the veterans
The retirement of the Alayeto twins opens up a battle for eighth place, where Alix Collombon and Lorena Rufo could play a key role. Sanchez and Josemaria’s domination of the Top 3 is challenged by Brea and Gonzalez, while Ortega / Triay will be looking to prove their ability to compete for top spot.
